The Capt. Thomas

The Capt. Thomas was built by Maston Krentz
at Krentz's railway at Callo, Va. in 1969.
She was originally built to run passengers from Reedville
to Tangier Island. Built out of mahogany and is powered
by 2 Detroit Diesel 12V71, she is 65 feet in length
and cruises at 12 knots. She was built with a spacious
top deck for viewing wildlife and other sights and has
an enclosed cabin in case of inclement weather. She
has a full snack bar and bathroom facilities.

In 1987 she was replaced by the more suited Chesapeake
Breeze to run to Tangier
Island. The seating was rearranged to accommodate
more outside seating and spectacular views from anywhere
aboard the vessel. She is now located at Tappahannock,
Va. Running cruises up the Rappahannock
